Christmas Eve with a smoothie

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
Yes, Christmas is on the horizon, one more sleep! It’s great how our years are so based around Christmas, as the year draws close to spring i find myself saying, “only 5 months until Christmas! Can you believe how fast the year has gone?” and before you know it, we will be here again, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Christmas morning. I just can’t seem to get enough of the Christmas hype! Although some people hate it, i love the feeling of the busy shops a mere few days before Christmas, the air is full of an anticipation as we madly run around collecting our last minute things. Then as the sky grows dark on the eve of Christmas, nothing gives me more delight than to play monopoly in front of the TV watching ‘Carols by Candlelight’ with the family. There’s something about the “night before Christmas”, wether it’s the fact that the world comes together to celebrate one of the greatest holidays, or the comforting sound of the Christmas Carols, even the buzz of being able to jump out of bed tomorrow to receive some gifts.

I now proudly present to you… the famous… the loved… the beautiful… BARRY! Barry has become a proud member of our family this year as our Christmas tree, and has been cared for and cherished as if one of our own, we couldn’t of asked for a more faithful tree and he will be sadly missed at the conclusion of Christmas and we wish him the best in providing mulch for lawns in the future!

As you can see, our dog ‘Stewie’ also loves getting in the Christmas spirit

And now, it’s time to share with you a dearly loved smoothie recipe, i am actually sipping one right now as i type this funnily enough, may i introduce…

serves 2

1 mango cheek, diced
1 passion-fruit’s pulp (if you don’t have a passion fruit, passion-fruit yogurt works just as well)
Frozen mango yogurt (‘Bulla Fruit ‘n Yogurt’ is best)
1/2 cup milk (if you want a thick smoothie) 1 cup for a non-thick smoothie, adjust until satisfied

1. Combine all the ingredients in a milkshake maker or blender, either or, doesn’t matter and blend until desired consistency
2. Pour into a glass along with your favorite silly straw!

NOTE: silly straws are optional

Well, i hope you enjoy this smoothie as much as i do and enjoy this hot summer!

Have a great Christmas Eve and better yet a fabulous Christmas Day!!
And i hope santa brings you something wonderful!

P.S. Enjoy the thrill cooking brings, the taste the food creates and the voyage the meal takes you on
