As all Christmas stories begin… I really feel I should say;
“Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse”
But really, if I were to be honest… not 5 minutes ago was the house filled with laughs and excitement as the family gathered around the tree and eagerly unwrapped our presents this Christmas Eve.
There’s something so joyous in the act of giving, seeing faces light up at the sight of a gift that has been thoughtfully been put together and wrapped.
Truly truly such a beautiful time of the year filled with love, laughs, family and friends, all gathered together, and to quote the carol ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’; Faithful friends who are dear to us, Will be near to us once more.
So much to be thankful for, and no better time to celebrate the year that was, and the year that is to come.
Wishing you the best as me and the fam-bam jet off to Italy for a few weeks after Christmas, so I may be posting a travel diary from there, or if not, I’ll chat with y’all when I get back!
